"Go on," Paul urged Michael, "it's just a cigarette. One won't hurt." Michael wanted to keep Paul happy - Paul was the owner of his gym and had been very welcoming - but was more than a little wary. "It's not very healthy though, right? I'm trying to get fitter." Paul laughed. "Believe me, one cigarette won't interfere with you getting an ideal body." He held the packet to Michael and smiled. Michael took the packet, removed a cigarette, allowed Paul to light it for him and took a tentative drag. He slipped into a deep, smoky haze almost immediately. ... ... ... Michelle awoke on her sofa in her lingerie, stretched, and wandered into the kitchen. On the worktop was a packet of cigarettes and a lighter. Feeling the urge, she lit up and inhaled deeply, allowing the nicotine to seep into her blood. Her heart raced briefly with the chemical rush. There was something amazing about these cigarettes her husband had bought for her. ...
