Captain Jenkins was more than proud of his flight deck and cabin crew - he held them up as the best his airline Speedair had to offer. They ran one of the daily commuter flights between Edinburgh and London on weekdays, and everyone knew that Jenkins was a fair but firm man with a focus on preparation. Jim Jenkins and his first officer Paul Garrett met in the airline flight briefing office ninety minutes prior to departure to review weather, routing and any issues at departure, arrival and diversion airports. They then picked up their cabin crew - Linsey, Gemma, Danielle, Chris and Frank - from the staff room, and headed out to the aircraft. His invention was designed to bounce an invisible laser around a distant room, creating an exact image of the contents which would be displayed to the wearer of a corresponding headset.
